'http://www.AmberKeinath.com I have received a few questions on what is a raw food diet since this eating plan is becoming more and more popular among healthy living gurus. Well, a raw food or living food diet is one that is based on whole, unprocessed, organic, uncooked fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and beans. You may wonder if this would be a healthy diet since it has no dairy or meat. Well, I will explain that more in a future video, but rest assured, dairy and meat do not have to be a part of a healthy diet. Actually there are hundreds of studies out there where animal products actually are the leading cause of diseases such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. So why would these lead to disease if they were a necessary part of the diet? Well, they aren\'t. Anyways, in a raw or living foods diet, people east as close to nature as possible with fresh whole foods. They eat less processed foods. They also eat local and organic produce. This way of eating is chocked full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants! No wonder people who follow this diet as opposed to the standard American diet have less disease prevalence, have more energy, and just feel great! If you are interested in a raw foods diet, I recommend a high raw diet in which about 75% of calories come from raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and beans, and about 20% come from these food groups cooked, and the remaining 5% is what you choose! Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of the raw food diet and if you have any further questions!
