'Chicken Burgers-Assyrian Made-kitleteh Chicken Burgers (kitleteh)– Assyrian/Lebanese/Middle Eastern My brother and I grew up on this meal! Every family makes them different but most, if not all Assyrian families use ground beef. However, my husband and daughter are chicken lovers -_- so I had to make some changes. I figured since I\'m going to use ground chicken might as well convert the recipe to a healthier option, 1. ground chicken and 2. coconut oil. I love coconut oil it has so many health benefits so I try to incorporate it as much as I can in my recipes. Chicken and coconut oil go great together natural sweetness of the coconut enhances the chicken meat amazingly, if you haven\'t tried it before I suggest you try it now! So these burgers in Assyrian are called Kitleteh - ground beef, onion, fresh parsley, breadcrumbs, black pepper, salt, and fresh crushed garlic. As you can see I did small tweaks to make it a bit healthier by just changing the ground beef to ground chicken; ground turkey can also be used but I prefer chicken its a little more juicer. I also used garlic powder only because I didn\'t have fresh garlic available at the time of filming ^ ^. My mom and grandmother usually use olive oil or vegetable oil when frying but with chicken I like to use coconut oil. Also, coconut oil has so many benefits; Coconut oil, is high in healthy saturated fats that have different effects than most other fats in your diet. These fats can boost fat burning and provide your body and brain with quick energy. They also raise the good HDL cholesterol in your blood, which is linked to reduced heart disease risk. Coconut oil used is unrefined organic cold pressed virgin oil, meaning most if its natural raw benefits are still intact. The bread I used to make the sandwich is Lebanese Pita bread, our family favorite. They are thin and delicious I usually buy a bunch and throw them in the freezer they stay fresher for a longer period of time. Recipe: Ingredients – 1 lb ground chicken 1 small onion grated ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley 2 Tbsp of breadcrumbs (can use gluten free) 1 tsp of garlic powder 1 tsp of black pepper 1 ½ tsp of Pink Himalayan salt (also has many natural benefits) These are super easy to do; if you decide to make these chicken burgers and add some of your own twists please share and let me know how you and/or family enjoyed them!! #ChickenBurgers#AssyrianMade#Kitletah'
