'This is the final part of our 3-part series that captures the making of our food photography backdrops. We are aiming to make as much as possible from scratch for this cookbook. Not only the food but also backgrounds, wooden boxes, pottery plates, bowls and more. We bought six 2ft x 2ft pieces of OSB at Home Deport that we\'ll use to create stone-like surfaces. The first step was to apply rough layers of drywall compound to create texture. Then we let it dry for a few days, and lastly, we applied paint in layers with a sponge–adding even more texture to the boards. Dan Versloot from Live Well Builds was our partner for this part of the project! Stay tuned, for more behind the scenes videos of our cookbook with Chef Shauna Versloot from The Live Well Co. A membership-based community of all things food and fitness. Weekly recipes, monthly live cooking classes, virtual workouts, and well-being challenges with prices! We are Hamaka Creativity Lab, a boutique studio focused on print projects and photography. Primarily dedicated to indie publications that help preserve our cultural heritage and the good-old craftsmanship that exists outside of our screens. With endless enthusiasm for storytelling, recycled paper and outdoor getaways. http://hamakamakes.com/ https://hamakamakes.com/the-live-well... http://thelivewellco.ca/ http://livewellbuildco.ca/ London, Ontario'
