'The Live Well Collection: Making food photography backdrops for our cookbook - Part 3'

01:13 Sep 27
'This is the final part of our 3-part series that captures the making of our food photography backdrops. We are aiming to make as much as possible from scratch for this cookbook. Not only the food but also backgrounds, wooden boxes, pottery plates, bowls and more. We bought six 2ft x 2ft pieces of OSB at Home Deport that we\'ll use to create stone-like surfaces. The first step was to apply rough layers of drywall compound to create texture. Then we let it dry for a few days, and lastly, we applied paint in layers with a sponge–adding even more texture to the boards. Dan Versloot from Live Well Builds was our partner for this part of the project! Stay tuned, for more behind the scenes videos of our cookbook with Chef Shauna Versloot from The Live Well Co.
