'We made it a point to visit Living Food Lab in Canggu, Bali as I’ve been following the birth and progress of this beautiful space on Instagram. The Living Food Lab is a 100% vegan cafe, a restaurant and a teaching kitchen serving nutrient-rich, living food to a growing community of global sustainability leaders in a multifunctional co-creative space. So lovely catching up with superwoman Pauliina Salmenhaara the owner and director of Living Food Lab. She specially designed a sampling platter for us so we could have taste of some of their best selling items on the menu. Also, she made sure that most of the dishes were raw. DRINKS Espresso Turmeric Latte (with in-house coconut milk) LFL Jamu - tangerine, turmeric, coconut nectar SNACKS Veggie Chips - mix of dehydrated chips including cucumber dill, red pepper spinach, tomato zucchini and cheesy kale SAMPLER PLATTER Not-Tuna Toast - raw crackers, not-tuna pate, dijon mustard, fresh apple, dill Tempeh Spring Rolls - rice paper rolls filled with tempeh, fresh herbs, carrot, cucumber and sauerkraut served with peanut sauce and sticky soy reduction Hummus Toast - raw crackers, smoked hummus, cucumber, massaged kale, bali dukkah Mango Wrap - raw coconut & mango wrap filled with ginger pate, lettuce, fresh vegetables and sesame garlic dipping sauce Tempeh Taco Crumble Salad - tempeh taco crumble, nacho lime dressing, mixed greens, spiralized carrot, guacamole, chopped tomato, cilantro leaves, raw corn chips, rawmesan Sauerkraut DESSERT Key Lime Pie (raw vegan) Affogato - vanilla ice cream “drowned” with a shot of hot espresso. Vanilla ice cream is made from cashews, coconut meat, water and nectar, vanilla extract They will also have a booth at the Bali Vegan Festival in Canggu from 12-14 October 2018.
