'Over the past 30 years, there has been a huge rise in our consumption of junk and processed food and with it, an increase in cases of IBS.  Junk food is dead, devitalised food, lacking in nutrients and lacking in prebiotics.  Our beneficial gut bacteria need plenty of prebiotics to help feed on and to multiply.
