'WHAT TO EAT IN ROME, ITALY | Rome food tour We\'re in Rome, Italy! In this 3 part series we\'re exploring Italy\'s capital city to hunt down the best Roman food. Rome has a distinct cuisine- one based on nose to tail eating, punchy bold flavours, fresh ingredients prepared simply and they love their street food. This is our second video from Rome and we\'re eating street food plus Cucina Romana (Roman cuisine) from a traditional, local restaurant. We start at Mercato Testaccio and hunt down one of the city\'s best sandwiches- a braised beef sarnie filled with bitter greens. It\'s utterly delicious and well worth eating. Next up we head to a famous bakery that has a long history of producing maritozzi, a beloved breakfast bun made up of sweet dough piled with whipped cream. We wash it down with an espresso before heading for a more modern Roman street food snack- trapizzino. Trapizzino are a sort of pizza pocket- fluffy, chewy dough encasing traditional Roman dishes like tongue cooked in salsa verde, tripe and chicken cacciatora. They are SO good! We finish up at a raucous, fun restaurant where we eat horse, traditional Roman pasta (cacio pepe), tripe and bull\'s testicles!! What a meal! We hope you enjoyed this Roman food tour!
