'What does The Real Junk Food Project mean to you? | Answers from our community'

'Thank you to Ben Atkinson | Owner Bear Kitchen, Wakefield In just five years, The Real Junk Food Project has stopped over 5000 tonnes of food from being wasted and turned it into food feeding bellies not bins! Zelig, our catering arm, has intercepted almost 500kg of food and transformed it into beautiful catering in only 8 months. On May 6th, we are launching our latest Crowdfunder campaign to build Zelig Catering Kitchen on site at our Kindness Sharehouse HQ Wakefield. We will be working with The Sanctuary Project Wakefield to provide training and placement opportunities for young people leaving care, using food waste to gain skills, self-confidence and hopefully opportunities in the industry. We want to develop this into a wider campaign about spreading #kindness and reaching out to others to make a difference to our food waste problem, one bite at a time. Please share and support our Crowdfunder if you can! #FeedKindness #Zelig Twitter: @TRJFProject Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TRJFProject/ Website: www.trjfp.com'
