'On our first day in Beijing we decided to check out the Wangfujing area which is considered one of the main high end shopping and entertainment districts in Beijing. Tucked into a side street is the Snack Street. As you enter you are greeted by skewered scorpions! Luckily we already had lunch or we would have lost our appetites! There are many vendors there selling local foods and souvenirs. Seafood, insects, skewered fruits, ice cream and many other food items that we could not identify were on display. If you are an adventurous eater then this place is worth a stop.
