'Recreating JJAPAGURI with Steak from “PARASITE\" (aka RAMDON)'

'To celebrate the Korean film “PARASITE” sweeping the Oscars, we tried recreating RAMDON aka JJAPAGURI with steak from the Oscar-winning film.   As Asian-Americans, our exposure to this dish came from watching Director Bong Joon-ho’s riveting film and since we’ve never heard of it or had it before, we wanted to try and make it ourselves.   We’ve eaten the separate Nongshim noodle packs on their own growing up, but never knew they could be combined and eaten together!  Additionally, after witnessing the first foreign-language film win Best Picture at the Academy Awards, we wanted to pay homage to the film and Korean culture as well.   We hope you enjoy this short video recreating this now-iconic dish and let us know what you think of Jjapaguri after trying it yourself!  Here are the ingredients needed, but if you want to see the recipe and cooking instructions written out, comment below to let us know if we should add it!   ~~ Ingredients ~~   Noodles: * 1 package of Nongshim “ Chapagetti” / Jjapagetti (짜파게티) black bean instant noodles  * 1 package of Nongshim Neoguri  (너구리) spicy seafood instant noodles  Beef steak, optional * 8 ounces sirloin or rib eye, cut into ½ inch cubes (or smaller if you like bite size pieces) * a pinch of salt * a pinch of ground black pepper * 1 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (we used 2 tablespoons of olive oil -- that’s what we had available at home) * 1 tablespoon unsalted butter   We hope you enjoy this video.
